Going to the dentist is largely about trust in the dentist and feeling safe in their hands. Therefore, it is also a big decision if you choose to get a new dentist. If you choose to become a patient with us, we will do everything we can to ensure you have a trustworthy and safe experience. We always allocate ample time for new patients. This allows us to discuss any concerns you may have about going to the dentist. We welcome you in our inviting, cozy, and bright premises with new and updated equipment. This way, we are ready to provide the optimal treatment for you.

How do I switch dentists?

To provide you with the best possible experience with us, it's important that we discuss your previous history with dentists during your first visit. If you have had any particularly bad experiences with a dentist, we would like to know. If you have undergone any major treatments, it's also a good idea to talk about them.

If you suffer from dental anxiety or feel uncomfortable in any way at the dentist, it is also important that you let us know. This way, we can arrange your visits with us in the best manner for you. It is important to us that you feel that treatments proceed at a pace you are comfortable with. This way, we ensure that you have the best possible experience.

First Visit to the Dentists at Classensgade

During your first visit, we will conduct an examination of your teeth and gums. We will also examine the jaw joint, chewing muscles, the mucous membranes of the mouth, and other areas. If we find anything that requires treatment or extra attention, we will discuss it with you. Together with you, we will create a plan for your dental care that suits you best.

Before you come to the clinic, it is a good idea to inform us where you have previously gone for dental care. This way, we can obtain your records and X-rays before your visit, allowing us to be even better prepared for your first appointment.

The first time, it is a good idea to arrive a little early at the clinic. If you bring your health insurance card, we can ensure that all information is registered correctly. At the same time, you will have time to fill out our new patient form. This way, we know if there is anything we need to pay special attention to. If you are taking any medication, please let us know. However, we have the ability to check your medication via the Common Medication Card, which is a shared register for all healthcare professionals. Here, we can update patients' medication and prescribe new medication if necessary.

Always an estimate before dental treatment

The legislation has stipulated that we must provide a written estimate for all treatments where the patient has to pay more than 2500kr themselves. However, we have extended this service to cover all forms of treatment - big and small. This way, you won’t have any surprises and can comfortably sit in the chair as you already know the price. You don't need to worry about it suddenly becoming much more expensive than you expected.

If you are undergoing a larger treatment, we will also create a treatment plan along with the estimate. This way, you will know how long the treatment will take and what stages are involved in the process.

Aesthetic / Cosmetic Dental Treatment

At Tandlægerne Classensgade, we find that people often forget to discuss with their dentist the issues with their teeth that may not cause pain but are still bothersome. If you are unhappy with the appearance of one or more of your teeth, it is a good idea to mention it to us. Often, the treatment is simpler than one might think and can be addressed with some plastic. Not all challenges can be solved at the clinic. However, if we determine that you would be better served by a referral, we have a database of other specialists we regularly collaborate with.

Aesthetics are very important to us, and we would love to assist you in finding a solution that you will be happy with - even in the long term.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Anyone can be prevented from attending a scheduled appointment with the dentist. Therefore, it is perfectly fine for you to cancel and reschedule your appointment. However, we kindly ask you to call us at least 24 hours in advance, as we have patients on a waiting list who would like to be treated as soon as possible. Additionally, an empty dentist chair costs us a lot of money. Therefore, we reserve the right to issue a no-show fee of 263 DKK for a no-show from an appointment up to 30 minutes. The no-show fee increases if the scheduled appointment is longer.

Payment will always be settled in cash immediately following a consultation. We accept all types of cards. If you are going to undergo a larger treatment process, an agreed deposit must be paid before the treatment begins. The remaining amount is paid when the treatment is completed.
